8 Nepalese girls rescued by DCW

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal along with a non-profit organization (NGO) KI Nepal, rescued eight girls from a hotel in national capital's Paharganj area on Thursday.

The girls are natives of Nepal and were allegedly being trafficked to Iraq and Kuwait.

"DCW & KI Nepal rescued 8 girls from Hotel Omaxe Paharganj who were being trafficked to Gulf and promised jobs in Iraq & Kuwait. Hotel also complicit in crime. Sadly Delhi is a major transit route for trafficking Nepalese girls 2 Gulf. Urge MHA and Nepal Govt to end this crime," tweeted Maliwal.
