An 81-year-old retired salesman rode a funeral car to tie the knot with his 81-year-old fiance at St Mary the Virgin Church, Bickleigh.

Biker Colin Moore's pals got him a funeral car as a joke because he and his fiance of 21 years, Margaret Bevan had left it so late in life, the Sun reported.

Divorced Moore finally suggested Bevan that they should fix a date a few weeks ago, while they were having a bowl of porridge.

Moore, who is native of Plymouth, said that he had wanted to get married earlier but Margaret always said 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.'

He said that he believed that the time was right now and she agreed.
