Congress leader Meem Afzal on Sunday stated that what Giriraj Singh of the BJP has said would amount to sending 90 percent of people out of India to Pakistan.

"Those who say that people who do not support Modi will be sent to Pakistan, does that mean they are going to send the non NDA leaders to Pakistan. If they were to do so then 90 percent of Indians will have to sent to Pakistan," Afzal said.

"The Election Commission must take cognisance of this matter and send Giriraj Singh to jail," Afzal added.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Giriraj Singh has said that all those who are opposed to Narendra Modi should go to Pakistan as they have no place in India.

Giriraj Singh, who is contesting the Lok Sabha election from Nawada in Bihar, accused Modi's opponents of acting on behalf of Pakistan. He said this at an election rally at Mohanpur Haat Maidan near the temple town of Deogarh in Bihar.
