AAJSU General Secretary Vinod Sinha on Wednesday joined the Congress Party in Jharkhand along-with 2000 supporters, citing secularism and showing faith in the leadership of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi.
Sinha joined the Congress in the presence of Jharkhand State Congress President Sukhdeo Bhagat at party's state headquarters in Ranchi.
After joining the party, Sinha said that he will not let communal forces come to fore in the state, and added that under guidance of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Sukhdeo Bhagat, he would work for the expansion of the party.
Sinha, who had contested the last assembly election in the state securing around 13000 votes, has been actively working across the state. He contested last elections from Giridih.
He was also previously associated with the Nationalist Congress Party.
