Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi on Sunday said and that the Aam Aadmi Party stood nowhere in the competition as it was a creation of the media and the Congress and had to fade away sooner or later.
"The AAP was a creation of media and Congress so sooner or later they had to go," said Lekhi.
"Many of the people who were in the party are coming to us as they want to join the BJP. At least 70 people from their party came to me yesterday and 200 came before that. Also, some of the people are leaving the party and going back," she said.
"Ideologically, there are a lot of issues with the AAP and therefore it was clear that it could not survive for long," she added.
She further said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would definitely clean sweep in the elections.
"BJP will definitely clean sweep as it is clear that the public wants to see Modi as the next prime minster of the country. As soon as the poll dates were announced it was clear that this time we were going to have a Congress free nation," she added.
