The Congress Party said on Saturday that the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) remains greedy for power.
Responding to allegations that AAP leader Kumar Vishwas had been approached by the Bharatiya Janata Party to join it, Congress leader Mukesh Sharma said, that if this was true, then the AAP must reveal the name of the BJP MP.
"Kumar Vishwas must reveal the name of the person, he is a big leader of AAP,and it is famous about the AAP, that they first do the sting operation and later on start the discussion. So, it is obvious that Kumar Vishwas must have made the video of that conversation. Therefore, he should also reveal the video and tell the name of the person who approached him," Sharma said.
He also claimed that the AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal have a history of supporting the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
He further stated that Vishwas himself had once said that he had voted for Rajnath Singh.

Criticizing the AAP, Sharma said, "Kumar Vishwas's statement reveals that he and other AAP members have not joined politics to serve the nation, but to become chief ministers and ministers. This has been revealed today."
"A responsible person like Kumar Vishwas shouldn't make fun of the two crore people of Delhi by giving such statements. It is an insult to them, because the AAP betrayed them in 49 days, and this statement has proved that the party is very frustrated at the moment and is desperately trying to form a government in Delhi again," he added.
Sharma further questioned the AAP's silence over the issue and criticized them for trying to be sensational.
He also asked Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung to act impartially on the issue of when to hold the assembly elections.
Congress leader Barkha Shukla said, "The Aam Aadmi Party people are greedy for power. When they got a chance, they didn't do anything. They want to be in power again, so they are doing something or the other. If the BJP is giving Vishwas an opportunity to become CM, then he should accept it immediately. Everyone knows the AAP's character, their time is over now," said Shukla.
Congress leader Rashid Alvi said it would be better if the BJP gave a clarification.
Vishwas had earlier confirmed reports that he had been approached by a newly-elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament to join the saffron party soon after the general election results were declared.
The poet-turned AAP leader, who contested the general elections against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in the latter's political bastion of Amethi, said the BJP MP described him as "CM material" and said that if Kumar joined the saffron party, other AAP MLAs would follow suit.
Kumar also said that a long time had passed since this conversation and he did not want to encourage speculation by divulging whether the MP was elected once or twice. He also added that a conversation with a friend should be kept out of the political ambit.
