The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators on Wednesday accused Prashant Bhushan of discouraging the party workers.

AAP MLA Adarsh Shastri said that majority of the legislators have signed the petition seeking the expulsion of party 'rebels' Shanti Bhushan, Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav from the party.

"Majority of our MLAs have signed this petition and have requested that no indiscipline will be tolerated by the party. It is very important to give out this message that no one can stand against the party. We have been associated with the party for a long time, we quit our jobs and sacrificed our careers only because we had the motive to change the nation and working of politics," said AAP MLA Adarsh Shastri.

"I was there with Ashish Khetan when he went to meet Prashant Bhushan. Bhushan clearly said that Aam Aadmi Party will lose the elections in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal will lose the elections and we will not get more than 15 seats. He raised finger on the methods of party working for elections and discouraged us completely. He spoke against the 'Delhi Dialogue' and said it will be of no use," he added.

Shastri said that Prashant Bhushan's sister came to him after ten days and said that there would not be any votes from the NRI in favour of the party.

Meanwhile, another AAP MLA Kapil Mishra said, "All the members of AAP were going through pain. We fought against corruption. In this election, we were fighting against BJP and Congress party. But we had another fighting inside our own party."

"We went through this and it was painful. It seems like some people were not happy with the win. If anybody tries to end this party, we won't take it. We have written a petition to Arvind Kejriwal to take action against Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan and Shanti Bhushan," he added.

Earlier on Tuesday, the AAP had issued a statement justifying the expulsion of Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav from the party's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) on March 4.
