Emphasizing that clean politics cannot exist without clean money, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi law minister Somnath Bharti on Friday said the party has organised a fund-raising tea party in the national capital tomorrow.
"No clean politics can exist without clean money. This can be taken as a fundamental. For that all our supporters who want this to happen and clean politics to exist, they will somehow arrange for the money by raising funds," said Bharti.
"So, I and Arvind Kejriwal have collectively organised a tea party. In that, all our supporters and believers of clean politics, who want that black money, should not be involved in politics are coming forward to help us. For the same, a party has been organised tomorrow at 3 p.m. with Arvind Kejriwal at Safdarjung Enclave," he added.
Pointing out two different ways of campaigning, Bharti said AAP supporters were showing much enthusiasm and were curious to donate.
"There are two ways of campaigning- one is to approach people personally, tell them about your party agendas and ask them to donate."
"Second is to approach any one party or a crony capitalist and take 5,000 crores from the followed by buying of every minute of TV, every space of newspaper and hoardings," he added.
A similar fund-raising lunch was organised by the AAP that fetched the party more than 20 lakh rupees.
