Members of the Aam Aadmi Party today staged a protest at the residence of Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan over the city's worsening power crisis.
Somnath Bharti of the AAP told ANI, "Ever since the BJP government has come to power, there has been an eclipse in Delhi."
Reacting to the protest, Dr Harsh Vardhan said, "I advise MLAs to ask Arvind Kejriwal's government, along with Congress, why they just protested for 49 days instead of doing some work. I ask Kejriwal why didn't he do anything about improving power."
He also added, "I talk to LG every day thrice. He told me that for 15 years Congress didn't do anything to improve distribution lines. Arvind's government didn't do anything for 49 days."
Delhi has been witnessing frequent and prolonged power cuts this season even as the temperatures are hovering near 45 degrees.
