The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers staged a protest here on Saturday demanding the arrest of senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra minister Chhagan Bhujbal.
The protestors shouted slogans denouncing Bhujbal and carried placards with messages demanding his arrest.
"The investigation against Bhujbal started after AAP filed a PIL in the court. Anti-Corruption Bureu has raided his properties. We demand that he should be arrested. Action should be taken against even other leaders of NCP, who are corrupt," said AAP convenor Abhijith More.
Bhujbal is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in two cases of money laundering. Series of raids were conducted at the properties owned by Bhujbal and his family across Maharashtra.
Investigating Agencies are also looking into alleged corruption in the award of contracts during his tenure as Maharashtra's PWD minister.
