The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to file a complaint with the Election Commission of India over the continuous negative campaigns by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against their chief Arvind Kejriwal.

"We had a discussion on the continuous negative campaigns by the BJP and we have decided to file a complaint with the Election Commission of India," said AAP leader Sanjay Singh.

Earlier in the day, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal had called all senior party leaders at his residence in Kaushambi. The meeting was primarily called to discuss the BJP's personal attack on Kejriwal by publishing derogatory posters against the latter.

The AAP has demanded a public apology from the BJP for the advertisement.

The AAP has accused the BJP of targeting Kejriwal's caste or 'gotra' in a cartoon-based ad that shows him threatening to disrupt the Republic Day parade one year and asking for a VIP pass for the next year's parade.
