Expressing confidence of forming the government in Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said the Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would be rejected by the people in the upcoming assembly polls.
"People of Delhi have rejected the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). We will see very soon in the results of Delhi elections that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would be given the mantle of governance and AAP would be routed ," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said.
Sambit Patra further said that Kejriwal should have given good governance in Delhi instead of running away to Varanasi to contest the Lok Sabha polls.
"If he knew how to give good governance then he should have stayed back. He should have given good governance to the people of Delhi. Instead of that, he rushed away to Banaras to become the Prime Minister; again he has come back to become the Chief Minister. He is the classic case of a man drowning in Ganga and trying to resurface in Yamuna," he said.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi alleged that Kejriwal wanted to cause damage to a well organised governance structure.

"The idea was to cause damage to a well organised governance structure and not to lead the government. While they succeeded in doing so in Delhi, their idea was to do the same damage nationally by stalling Modi's progress as the PM of this country. The conspiracy was hashed and people we know very well were involved in this conspiracy which includes Kejriwal himself," she said.
BJP leader G.V.L. Narasimha Rao on his part said the Aam Aadmi Party and its leader are nervous.
"As a maverick and anarchist, Kejriwal had certainly excelled but governance is not his cup of tea and all the achievements that he claims to his credit they were all simply administrative orders which never got implemented and it was precisely the reason why he ran away from Delhi," he added.
