Ahead of his visit to India, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has reportedly expressed his willingness to sign a nuclear agreement that will enable Australia to sell Uranium to India.
Abbott said that he hopes to deepen the friendship between the two countries at a time when India is witnessing a "renewed optimism" under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reported News.com.au.
The Australian premiere is travelling to India to hold trade and security talks with his counterpart.
Meanwhile, environment and Uranium groups have expressed concern over the agreement.
