Recently, Bishnupur Police and its commando unit successfully rescued an abducted labourer from a place between Bishnupur and Thoubal Districts.
According to sources, Mohammad Nasir was abducted from his work site at the new primary school in Badarpur by suspected cadres of United Kuki Liberation Front over a demand of Rs.2 lakhs.
The police team had been conducting a search operation in the neighboring areas following the abduction report.
