The chairman of the Bangalore school where a minor girl was sexually assaulted, R Kerawalla, said Thursday that the accused is in police custody and an investigation is on.
"The meeting could not be concluded due to the situation .Safety is paramount and we should have the patience to await conclusion that the authorities come with."
"All the twenty points discussed in the meeting will be answered. I am here to ensure that all security measures are taken, and the school will function in the normal routine from tomorrow," he added.
He continued, "As far as the SPA activities are concerned, all the activities will continue.
All co-operation is being given to the authorities. Whosoever is guilty, they are under police custody. But nobody is involved from the management."
When asked if he has met the victim's parents by now, he said, "Have'nt met the victims parents yet, but will be meeting them soon. I am not saying anything at this point of time; waiting for the conclusions of the authority."
The girl of Vibgyor School on Varthur-Haralur Road, near Kundalahalli Gate was allegedly raped on July 2. Since the incident, angered parents have vandalised the school premises over a demand for an explanation.
