An acoustic expert has told a court in Pretoria, South Africa, that the bloodcurdling shrieks of blade runner Oscar Pistorius's dead girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp were a deafening 120 decibels after being shot at in their home.
The Daily Star quoted acoustic expert Ivan Lin, as saying that the cries would have been heard 100 m away from the Blade Runner star's home, and were equivalent to a jumbo jet motor.
Reeva, 29, was blasted to death by Oscar on February 14 last year following an alleged argument.
Olympics and Paralympics star Pistorius, 27, denies murder, claiming he mistook her for a burglar.
His legal team claims the screams were Pistorius when he realised what he had done.
His manager Peet van Zyl told the court the pair were "loving and caring".
The trial continues.
