A member of Tamil activist group 'Naam Tamilar' has reportedly declared that John Abraham's 'Madras Cafe' will not be allowed to release in Tamil Nadu as it portrays LTTE cadres as terrorists.
Actor-Director-activist Seeman, who attended the special screening with other Tamil filmmakers on Sunday, said that the sentiment of the film is anti-Tamil as the film tries to portray late LTTE chief, Prabhakaran as a terrorist.
At a recent event, producer-actor John Abraham had revealed that his Indian political espionage thriller film doesn't take any sides nor does it portray anybody as terrorists.
'Madras Cafe' came under the scanner of pro-Tamil groups when its trailer was released in July. The film, slated to release on August 23, was even dubbed in Tamil to be exclusively released in Tamil Nadu.
