New Zealand fast bowler Adam Milne was ruled out of the rest of the cricket World Cup due to a heel injury.
Team management confirmed that he would not be fit to play any further in the tournament, stating that the pace bowler felt discomfort following the quarterfinal win against the West Indies and subsequently underwent an MRI scan on Sunday, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Milne took the crucial wicket of West Indies swashbuckling opener Chris Gayle and conceded 42 runs in his four overs.
