ADB to give financial help to control landslide in Nepal's Lampata area

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide financial assistance to control the landslide at Lampata of Babiyachour-5 in Nepal's Myagdi District.

A mission-team led by ADB representative Laxmi Adhikari is already in the district to monitor the site and has agreed to provide financial assistance through the Decentralised Rural Infrastructure and Livelihood Improvement Project (DRLIP), reports nepalnews.com.

It quoted Local Development Officer Bishnu Prasad Sharma, as saying that the ADB has agreed to provide all the expenses required for transport services operation by controlling the landslide in a long-lasting manner.

Sharma added that the estimated cost for the same is Rs 27.5 million.

 

The site lies along the Beni-Darbang Road section.
