Adelaide Oval curator Damian Hough has said that he will leave extra grass on his drop-in strip meaning left-armer Mitchell Johnson will continue his terror campaign against England if Australia bowls first.
According to News.com.au, Hough revealed that from their end, they are trying to get as much pace and bounce as they can.
He added that they would look at leaving a little grass on it just to assist with making it a competitive wicket.
Adelaide's pitch won't resemble The Oval turner that has yielded Swann's 27 wickets, the report said.
Hough has spoken for the first time about the mysterious strip to be unveiled in the second Ashes Test starting December 5, the report added.
