Manchester United's kit would be made by Adidas for 10 years from next season as the sportswear giant signed a 750 million pound deal with the club.
The move came after Adidas' rival Nike, who has been paying United 23.5 million pounds-a-year, decided to end its association with the club at the end of the 2014-15 season.
The new deal is worth a world record-breaking 75 million pounds-a-season to United, with Real Madrid's 31 million pounds-a-year deal with Adidas being previously the biggest club deal, The BBC reported.
Adidas would provide training and playing kit to all United's teams and would have the exclusive right to distribute dual-branded merchandising products worldwide.
The huge sum involved in the deal is only 40 million pounds less than what the Glazer family paid for the United in 2005, the report added.

Adidas chief executive Herbert Hainer said that the deal would help the firm to further strengthen their position in key markets around the world, adding that the sportswear giant expect total sales to reach 1.5 billion pounds during the duration of their partnership with United.
Adidas has not given any details about the design of the new strip but said that they might look to the United's kits of the 1980s and early 1990s for inspiration.
It would be the first time that Adidas has made the Premier League's team's strip in 23 years, since the 1991-92 season, the report added.
