Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Limited. (ABHICL), the Health Insurance arm of Aditya Birla Capital Limited, a significant non-bank financial services company, presents 'Activ Assure'- a health insurance product, key offering from its 'Protection' portfolio.

'Activ Assure' is a health insurance offering incorporating ABHICL's unique HealthReturnsTM program that incentivizes customers upto 30 percent of their premium as HealthReturnsTM by tracking and rewarding their health activity regularly. The consumer is rewarded in form of HealthReturnsTM, a cash-equivalent which can be used for health related expenses like buying medicines and pay for diagnostic tests, day care treatment, out-patient expenses (OPD), alternative treatments (which are traditionally excluded) and most importantly can use it towards the payment of future premium.

In a family floater policy, it is always possible that the sum insured is fully utilised by one of the members covered, leaving the others with no cover. To cater to this specific requirement, 'Activ Assure' has a unique offering of additional 150 percent of Sum Insured as reload for unrelated illness e.g. 15 lacs additional reload for a 10 lac sum insured policy, in case the cover is insufficient for claims.

The product also covers 586 listed day care procedures that require hospitalization for less than 24 hours. The product also covers treatments given under Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy and Homeopathy systems. 'Activ Assure' also offers domestic and international emergency assistance services including Air Ambulance.

"Our product 'Activ Assure' is an addition to our portfolio of 'Protection' solutions and we are confident that with our focus on promoting healthy living. Through this offerings, ABHICL is expecting deeper penetration into Tier-II and Tier-III markets which are essentially price sensitive," said CEO ABHICL, Mayank Bathwal.
