The Afghan Taliban has denied allegations that it was involved in preparations for an attack on the bases of the Tehreek-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the Mohmand tribal region.

TTP spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan had earlier said hundreds of heavily armed militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Ansarul Islam and Al-badr Mujahideen are planning attacks against the group.

Ehsan said the groups are reported to be using the name of Afghan Taliban.

According to the Express Tribune, however, Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Afghan Taliban, denied the claims and reiterated that the group does not involve in any conflicts outside Afghanistan.

Mujahid said that the group is engaged in major operations in Afghanistan and did not allow its fighters to interfere beyond the border.
