Latif Mehsud, a close aide of Pakistan Taliban leader Hakeemullah Mehsud, along with his two guards and a broker, has been handed over to Pakistani authorities after being arrested by Afghanistan security forces.
Sources said that Mehsud was captured on Pakistan-Afghanistan border by the Afghan National Army (ANA) while trying to cross the border to buy weapons, reported the Dawn.
The militants were then taken into custody by Nato troops for some time before being handed over to Pakistani authorities. The return of the top TTP commander came after a recent visit by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to Pakistan.
The Pakistani authorities had been demanding the return of the arrested TTP commanders.
The other three militants were identified as Jafar, Aziz and Shah Jehan.
