Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended his condolences over the loss of lives in Afghanistan following the massive devastation caused by recent avalanches.
"Heartfelt condolences on the loss of lives in Afghanistan due to avalanches. India stands ready to assist in any way possible", the Prime Minister said in a tweet.
At least 119 people have died along the Afghan-Pakistani border after three days of heavy snowfall caused a series of deadly avalanches on Sunday.
Numbers are expected to rise as rescuers reach isolated regions where it's feared more people are trapped beneath the snow.
