African Union Commission delegation to visit India

A four-member delegation from the African Union Commission (AUC) will be visiting India for three days beginning tomorrow.

The delegation is being led by Ambassador Jean-Baptiste Natama, Chief of Staff of the Bureau of the AUC Chairperson.

During the visit, the Joint Action Plan of the Enhanced Framework of Cooperation of the second India Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-II) is to be adopted in New Delhi on Friday. Implementation of the programmes, especially in the area of capacity building, has already begun.

Arrangements are being put in place for the visiting delegation for a detailed discussion with the Indian institutions and agencies that are involved in the implementation of the IAFS -II decisions.

 

The delegation is scheduled to call on Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur.

The delegation will participate in an interactive session with the Heads of African Missions in New Delhi.
