Pakistan star all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who worked up a storm following his comments on captaincy, has backed Misbah-ul Haq again as the best choice to lead their national side at the 2015 World Cup.
Afridi's remarks have come at a time when Pakistan completed an emphatic Test series win over Australia in 20 years.
Ahead of the Test series, there had been rumours of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) possibly changing its heart and axing of Misbah as ODI captain, while Afridi was being propped up as the replacement, The Dawn reported.
However the legendary all-rounder, also known as 'Boom Boom Afridi', denied expressing any desire for Pakistan's captaincy though.
Afridi said that he doesn't know why media creates controversies by misquoting him, adding that they seem to blow everything he says out of proportion. He said that as far as captaincy is concerned, he never ran after it, and added that he has always said that he is available to serve the country in any way possible.
