Former Pakistan T20 skipper Shahid Afridi believes the upcoming tour to England will pose a major challenge before the team's youngsters, who will be accompanied by senior players Misbah-ul Haq and Younis Khan.
Describing England as 'one of the best teams' in the world, Afridi insisted that Alastair Cook-led side had been performing extremely well at home conditions, which would present a 'big test' for the Pakistan rookies touring the country, the Express Tribune reported.
Reflecting on his omission from the England tour, the flamboyant all-rounder insisted that he didn't mind being dropped from the national team, adding that he has in fact talked to the selectors to check the potential of the youngsters.
Afridi, who is currently in England where he will represent county club Hampshire, had earlier stepped down from the post of skipper following Pakistan's miserable performances in the Asia Cup and the World T20 in India.
Pakistan will tour England for a four-match Test series and a five-match ODI series, starting from July 14 at Lord's.
