Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has once again revealed his desire to lead the national team saying that he wishes to lead Pakistan as it is something he has always been ready for.
Afridi, who was served with a show-cause notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for making similar remarks after the World Twenty20 fiasco, said that he honestly wants to spearhead the country's national cricket team, the express tribune reported.
Meanwhile, the former skipper, who had serious reservations in the past during his captaincy days with Waqar Younis, has said that the people must forget the past, else things will not work out in the future, as he reflects on the aspect of working with the second-time head coach.
Afridi further said that he has learnt from the mistakes he made in the past and is also hopeful that Younis has also learnt his lessons from the mistake he committed as coach when he was in charge.
