An advocate from Lahore has filed a petition against Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi over his remarks in which he said that he received more love from India than Pakistan.
In a petition filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC), advocate Azhar Siddique argued that Afridi's statement has hurt nation's sentiments and asked it to seek cricketer's explanation.
Earlier, former captain Javed Miandad said that Afridi should be ashamed of his remarks.
Afridi has drawn flak from several sections of the Pakistani media for his remarks lauding India.
Addressing a press conference in Kolkata yesterday, Afridi said that he always enjoyed playing cricket in front of Indian fans, adding that he received more love from India than Pakistan.
