Beaten French Open finalist Lucie Safarova has backed Serena Williams to complete the calendar Grand Slam in 2015 after the latter won her third Roland Garros title and 20th career major 6-3, 6-7 (2/7), 6-2 against the 13th seeded Czech.
According to Sport24, Safarova saw enough to predict that Williams could become the first woman tennis player after German Steffi Graf to complete the sweep. Graf achieved it in 1988.
Safarova described Serena as a great and experienced player, and added that if she was in great shape and playing the best tennis, no opponent would be able to stop her from achieving that goal.
