Ahead of Trump's visit, active shooter tracked at Air Force Base in Ohio

Ahead of United States President Donald Trump's visit to Ohio on Saturday, emergency personnel were tapped after reports of a possible active shooter at a hospital on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton city in the state.

According to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, security forces and the fire department responded to the incident at 12:40 p.m. (local time) on Thursday and that base personnel were directed to shelter in place until it is investigated, reported CNN.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also said it is responding to the scene.

Trump announced on Twitter that he will be visiting Ohio on Saturday night to campaign for Senator Troy Balderson.

 

"Looking forward to being in the Great State of Ohio on Saturday night where I will be campaigning hard for a truly talented future Congressman, Troy Balderson. See you all then," Trump tweeted.
