The Congress party on Thursday said the Prime Minister's Office seeking a report from the Civil Aviation Ministry on Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis delaying Air India flights was just an 'eyewash'.
"It is just an eyewash. Now since the credibility of the government has gone down, asking an update on Rijiju's case will clearly prove to be an eyewash," Congress spokesperson Shobha Oza told ANI.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has come under fire after he allegedly caused three people to be de-boarded from an Air India flight plying from Leh to Delhi.
However, the Minister has denied all the allegations and said he was not aware of the same.
Meanwhile, inconvenience was caused to passengers when an Air India flight to US was delayed by nearly an hour on June 29 after it was reported that Principal Secretary Pravin Pardeshi to Fadnavis travelling with him had not carried his passport with valid US visa.
