Towards consolidating the already robust bilateral military to military ties between India and United Kingdom, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC) and Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) is proceeding on a four day goodwill visit to the United Kingdom.
During the visit the Chief would be calling on Philip Dunne, Under Secretary of state and Minister of Defence Equipment Support and Technology to discuss bilateral issues on the ongoing defence cooperation between India and United Kingdom.
The Chief would be visiting RAF Valley where he would be briefed on the training facilities of the HAWK T2 Aircraft with an interaction with QFIs and students.
Thereafter a visit to RAF Brize Norton is planned where he would be on a guided tour to Voyager hub and the Voyager Academy where training of crew and support staff takes place. The Chief would then be briefed on the C-130 and C-17 current operations in the United Kingdom.
This is Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha's first visit to United Kingdom after taking over as CAS on December 31 last year.
