Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) officers on Tuesday intercepted a passenger at Mumbai airport on arrival from Singapore with 12 gold bars worth Rs. 36, 45,600.
A statement issued by the AIU stated that the passenger had concealed gold bars by in his foot soles.
Each foot soles had six gold bars stuck to it.
AIU officers recovered gold bars weighing 100 grams.
The passenger was arrested and further investigations are underway.
