Indian shuttler Ajay Jayaram crashed out of the Russian Open on Saturday after incurring a straight-set defeat against his Indonesian opponent Tommy Sugiarto in the semi-final round of the Grand Prix badminton event here.
Third seed Jayaram suffered a 17-21, 7-21 defeat to top seed Sugiarto in a contest that lasted 33 minutes.
Meanwhile, men's doubles pair of Manu Attri and B. Sumeeth Reddy and the mixed doubles duo of Akshay Dewalkar and Prajakta Sawant also lost their respective matches.
