Pakistan cricket analyst and commentator Bazid Khan believes that the team's main off-spinner Saeed Ajmal will never be the same bowler that he used to be after being asked to rework his bowling action.
Ajmal, who has returned to international cricket with a changed action after International Cricket Committee (ICC) had an official scrutiny done of his previous action, failed to perform during the recent Bangladesh tour, where Pakistan was whitewashed in the limited over games.
Bazid said that Ajmal was getting a prodigious amount of spin, and his doosra was effective due to the flex in his previous action, and added that he didn't think he would ever be the same bowler again despite being hard working and big-hearted.
He said the bowler needed to reinvent himself to stop the flow of runs during the mid-overs, otherwise he would struggle to keep his place in the Pakistan team, Pak Passion reported.
He also said that Pakistan can give him a year or so to prove himself, but in his view, his potency would never be the same again.
