Akali sarpanch's husband, son booked for assaulting nurse

A case has been registered against Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) sarpanch Daljit Kaur's husband and son for assaulting a nurse in Moga.

Alamwala sarpanch's husband Paramjit Singh, who is also a SAD leader, and her son Gurjeet Singh thrashed the nurse Ramandeep Kau at Goyal Hospital when asked to wait outside.

The father-son duo was at the hospital to get a relative discharged. Where they were asked to wait by Ramandeep, they abused her first and then thrashed her.

According to sources, Ramandeep was five months pregnant.

The duo has been booked under Sections 451 (house trespass to commit an offence), 323 (punishment for causing hurt voluntarily), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intent in crime) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Baghapurana in Moga district.
