Castigating Akhilesh Yadav for his 'gadha' remark against Gujarat BJP leaders, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting M. Venkaiah Naidu on Monday said that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is disturbed and hence is making such derogatory statements.

Addressing a press conference here, Naidu said that Akhilesh by making such statements is insulting the people of Gujarat.

"He is disturbed hence using such language and making such comments. He is insulting the people of Gujarat. I don't know from where this 'donkey comment came in between'," said Naidu.

Earlier in the day, while addressing an election rally in Raebareli, Akhilesh referring to a Gujarat Tourism TV advertisement featuring Amitabh Bachchan said the megastar should stop endorsing 'donkeys of Gujarat'.

"Ek gadhe ka vigyapan aata hai, main iss sadi ke sabse bade mahanayak se kahunga ke ab aap Gujarat ke gadhon ka prachar mat kariye (There's an ad on TV which shows donkeys. I appeal to century's biggest star...please stop endorsing donkeys of Gujarat)," Akhilesh said.
