Akki's 'Airlift' enters Rs 100 cr club

Entering the 100 crore INR club, 'Airlift' that stars Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has become the first movie of 2016 to have a collection over 100 crore INR.

Film critic Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and wrote, "#Airlift has a FANTASTIC Sunday. Crosses 100 cr mark. [Week 2] Fri 4.50 cr, Sat 6.50 cr, Sun 8.26 cr. Total: 102.76 cr. India biz."

Directed by Raja Menon, 'Airlift' also stars Nimrat Kaur in lead role.

The film captures the story of the Indians stuck in Kuwait during Iraq's invasion in 1990, through the eyes of Ranjit Katiyal, played by Akshay and a few other characters.
