Akram worried about lack of Test cricket for Pakistan

Former Pakistan pace bowler Wasim Akram has said that the lack of Test cricket in home conditions was hurting the development of Pakistan's cricket and that the PCB needs to address the issue quickly.

In an interview with pakpassion.net, Akram said that in comparison to other countries, Pakistan was playing a lot lesser number of Test matches and that was the reason why the side could not compete in Test cricket with nations who were playing much more Test cricket.

The former player said that the more Test cricket the side plays, the better they would become and even laid emphasis on organising more 'A' tours and more Under 19 tours.

Akram said that the 'A' teams of other leading Test nations were in action on a regular basis around the world, but unfortunately there seemed to be very little movement on this from the PCB.
