Akshay Kumar is one of the few actors for whom fitness is a way of life and for the very same reason, the Bollywood star is a source of inspiration for many.

Khiladi Kumar, who recently posted an inspiring video for his fans, did a sweet pillow talk and revealed that he has been following Ayurveda from the last 25 years.

Akshay began by thanking everyone for the immense support, good wishes and positive reviews he has got for 'Jolly LLB 2'. He then went on to talk about the reason he has been feeling very light and healthy over the past few days.

"I am feeling very healthy these days as recently I spent 14 days in a Kerala ashram and I felt like I was in heaven. No junk food, no TV, no branded clothes, no phone, just a simple kurta-pajama and simple food and a lot of treasure of Ayurveda, " the 49-year-old said in the video.

He asserted the importance of Ayurveda and said he feels sad that Indians don't value this treasure and want to survive on modern medicines, chemical injections and supplements.

"I am not demeaning the value of allopathy, it is great in its own way. But why are we forgetting the value of our traditional medicinal treatments like Ayurveda, Unani, yoga, naturopathy, and homeopathic?" inquired the actor.

Throughout the video he has emphasised on urging everyone to use Ayurvedic medicines and to do Yoga to live a healthy lifestyle.

On the work front, Akshay's recent film 'Jolly LLB 2' has been widely appreciated by the audience and will next be seen playing a cameo in 'Naam Shabana'. He has just wrapped up 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' and is also going to be seen with Rajnikanth in '2.0'.
