Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's 11-year-old son has reportedly dared the United States to strike at Syria on his Facebook post.
Hafez al-Assad allegedly wrote: "I just want them to attack soooo much, because I want them to begin something that they don't know the end of," News.com.au reports.
Although it has not been confirmed yet whether the profile is real or not, The New York Times has put forward evidence backing its authenticity.
According to the report, the anti-American post has been "Liked" and commented on by people who appear to be the children and grandchildren of senior members of the al-Assad regime, including those of the Deputy Vice President and former defence minister.
The 11-year-old's post also calls for Syrian national unity against the American threat of missile attack on the nation.
He further writes: "We will fight them everywhere until they get out if they (come) in the first place. No matter how hard they try and get us out of our holy land they will never succeed. It's where we come from, it's where our roots and predecessors come from".
The post ends with "Syria forever and everr," accompanied by four 'V for victory' emoticons.
Meanwhile, the U.S. is considering a limited military strike on Syria to punish them for breaching international laws on use of chemical weapons in war, although the UK Parliament has rejected any such move, amid fears of ending up in a military crisis similar to the Iraq War.
