Tasmanian batsman Alex Doolan has been called up to the Australian squad to prepare for the fifth Ashes Test in Sydney.
Doolan is expected to provide cover in case Shane Watson is ruled out after he suffered a groin strain during the fourth Test win at the MCG, News.com.au reports.
The selectors have also omitted NSW paceman Doug Bollinger in naming the 14-man squad to prepare for the SCG Test starting on Friday when Australian will attempt to complete a 5-0 series clean sweep.
