All India Radio's National Channel celebrates Rangostav

All India Radio's National Channel celebrated Rangostav (Holi) recently with folk music and dances of Rajasthan and Brajbhumi (Mathura).

The event evoked feeling of festivity and kept the audience enthralled all through the evening.

The event was made successful by the two prominent artists of our country.

Popular folk artist Ugam Raj, 60, who had performed in the courts of kings and Nawabs since his childhood was here with his troupe. Another well known folk singer, Vandana Singh, who has been associated with All India Radio of Mathura for many years, rendered some of her Holi-special numbers like Peacock dance, Lathmar Holi and Makhan Chori were the highlights of the programme.

 

All India Radio's National Channel rules the hearts of millions of listeners of our country through its reach and programme content.

It was proved today as well when Shri Dayashankar Khuswaha, who had travelled all the way from his native village in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh merely to be a part of this event. He was prompted to do so by the promos that were playing about the programme Rangostav.
