National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Tuesday said all terrorist organizations are an equal threat to national security.

"There is nothing as a big or small threat. We consider terrorism as a threat. It is not on the basis of geographies, groups, capabilities or on the basis of their targets. Any group about whom we have got information having intentions or capabilities to strike against us, they would be our biggest targets," Doval said on being questioned whether the Al Qaeda or the ISIS posed a bigger threat to India.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) held here, Doval also said that after 13 years of declaring war with international terrorism, the fight has expanded and become more intense today.

"New areas have been engulfed and the capability that terrorists have acquired is mind-boggling. And, a lot has been done by the domestic front to check threats, including the preventive systems, proactive systems, intelligence and technology development," he added.

The MSC, in partnership with the Indian Observer Research Foundation, hosted a meet which focused on global and regional security challenges, including the conflict in the Middle East and the situation in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of foreign troops.

Around 70 senior decision makers from politics, business, media and civil society from India and the Euro-Atlantic, Asian and Middle-East regions came together to discuss key issues of international security policy. The conference ends on Wednesday.
