Allahabad High Court on Friday asked the Uttar Pradesh government to reconsider the arrangement of Model liquor shops that allow people to sit and consume alcohol.
In this regard, the High Court has given a time of one month to the government.
Reportedly, the court acted upon Akhil Bharatiya Sarjan Sarvajan Sarjan Hitay Parishad's petition seeking to ban the consumption of liquor in Model Liquor Shops.
According to reports, the next hearing in the matter will be held in October, in which State Advocate General Raghavendra Singh will be arguing for the government.
