Former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn will face trial on pimping charges after admitting that he attended sex parties in Paris but did not know that some of the women were paid prostitutes.
According to BBC, investigating magistrates have decided he should be tried in connection with an alleged prostitution ring at a hotel in Lille, with the case being the last of the sex-related allegations faced by Strauss-Kahn.
The report said that Strauss-Kahn was originally under investigation for 'aggravated pimping as part of an organised gang' and is now facing the slightly less serious charge of 'aggravated pimping as part of a group,' along with 12 others.
A series of lurid claims have been made about the high profile French figure since he was arrested in New York in May 2011 after a hotel maid said he had tried to rape her, the report added.
Kahn's lawyer said that they would demonstrate in the criminal court that the case was a total aberration.
