A new study has revealed that 41 percent of air travelers consider it rude to recline in a seat during the flight.

The results of a SurveyMonkey Audience poll showed that 16 percent of 858 respondents always reclined, 20 percent usually did, 14 percent reclined about half the time, while 30 percent did only few times and 20 percent never reclined, FiveThirtyEight.com reported.

Moreover, 70 percent of people said they would not eliminate the option to recline seats on flights, but 64 percent wanted the passengers to not recline if the flier behind them asked them not to.

Waking up a neighbor passenger to leave one's seat to use the bathroom was interpreted as rude by only 37 percent of respondents.
