Imagine Ayushmann Khurrana in a dhoti-kurta, speaking in Bengali.

He will surely sound as sweet as 'Misti Doi.'

The Punjabi-born, during the launch event of the song 'Ye Jawaani Teri,' from his upcoming film 'Meri Pyaari Bindu,' said, "I always used to feel I am a Bengali- a Bengali in a Punjabi."

This statement came after his co-star Parineeti Chopra told media here that Ayushmann learnt a lot of Bengali in this movie.

"Ayushmann learnt a lot of Bengali in this movie. He has turned half Bengali," she said.

During the event here, the 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' actor even said a sentence or two as a proof.

While describing the movie 'Meri Pyaari Bindu,' he said, "This story is more than 'Premer Golpo," which means 'the movie is more than just a love story.'

He even said a dialogue from the movie, "Bindu Shankar Narayanan- ek kathae bola jete pare bipod," which means 'Bindu Shankar Narayanan- in one word is trouble.'

However he has not spoken much in Bengali in the movie, other than the conversation with his parents.

On a related note, in his first movie 'Vicky Donor,' Ayushmann was seen dating a bong girl, portrayed by Yami Gautam.

'Meri Pyaari Bindu,' directed by Akshay Roy, is slated to release on May 12.
